چکیده
Prickly sida is a troublesome annual weed native to the USA. It was introduced in Greece over two decades ago and has since been infesting cotton crops, where it proved difficult control. A two-year field study (2021–2022) conducted (Karditsa, central Greece) heavily infested with prickly evaluate efficacy of nine treatments against this weed, using pre-emergence (PRE) early post-emergence (EPOST) herbicides applied at rate. At 8 weeks after treatment, control 90% pyrithiobac PRE (68.9 g ai ha−1) alone or mixture s-metolachlor (960 isoxaben (150 application + (34.5 960 followed by EPOST ha−1). Flurochloridone fluometuron (375 2000 ha−1), flumioxazin (50 pendimethalin terbuthylazine (1500 750 controlled 89–93% 2021 82–90% 2022. Pyrithiobac trifloxysulfuron did not adequately sida. Yield significantly lower weedy check compared treatments. None caused any visual injury crop reduction density. Our results can help successful management non-transgenic maximize yield quality.

Response of Poaceous Weeds in Wheat to Post-Emergence Herbicides
Poaceous weeds are prolific and competitive in winter crops, but they are more insidious in wheat due to their similar morphology and growing requirements. Herbicides are effective and efficient tools of weed management, however, they are vulnerable to resistance, and herbicides with different modes of action might check the dominance of a particular weed flora. The current study was undertaken...

متن کاملBiochemical and Ultrastructural Changes in Sida cordifolia L. and Catharanthus roseus L. to Auto Pollution
Auto pollution is the by-product of our mechanized mobility, which adversely affects both plant and human life. However, plants growing in the urban locations provide a great respite to us from the brunt of auto pollution by absorbing the pollutants at their foliar surface. Foliar surface configuration and biochemical changes in plant species, namely, Sida cordifolia L. and Catharanthus roseus ...

Greenhouse and field studies were conducted to evaluate potential interactions between glyphosate and trifloxysulfuron on barnyardgrass, browntop millet, hemp sesbania, seedling john songrass, pitted morningglory, prickly sida, sicklepod, and velvetleaf control as well as cotton injury and yield. In the greenhouse, glyphosate at 840 g ae/ha controlled all weed species 62 to 99%, which was bett...
